“D” full-page illustration painted for the Mouse Guard Alphabet Book. Darkheather is my favourite location in Mouse Guard and I was thrilled to have the chance to paint it. I took an abstract approach to the weasels’ underground labyrinth, making the design disorienting and intimidating. I really wanted to evoke the atmosphere I found so powerful in the comic, and I think it turned out really well
